Little Minds Big Changes Publishing Company was founded in 2020 as a woman-owned small business with a goal of educating and informing the white communities within which we live.
As we watched our country around us struggle through challenge after challenge, we noticed our own kids listening. With four kids between the two of us, all under six, we realized it was our responsibility to ensure that those listening ears are hearing the right messages. As two White women, we know it is on us to explain tough concepts and social structures to our own families and communities, and to explain the privileges that we benefit from. We knew these weren’t conversations that could wait. These books, these sparks, were what we knew we needed…
And we thought, if we need them, how many other grown-ups need them too?

We want to help grown-ups and kids to not only understand important societal concepts and movements, but we want to equip them with the tools to discuss them and come up with creative ways to make a positive change.

We want to normalize discussing hard social topics and asking questions at home. The better we can equip our children for the future; the more we can encourage future generations to do better; promote better; be better.
